Souta Hori (堀 創太 Hori Sōta?) is the son of Kyousuke Hori and Yuriko Hori and the younger brother of Kyouko Hori whom Izumi Miyamura first encounters at the start of the manga and anime series when the latter is startled by a dog, which insinuates Miyamura bringing him back home, thus meeting Hori.
Appearance[]
Souta is a young fair-skinned boy with messy gray hair, olive-colored eyes and he is noted to look similar to his older sister Kyouko Hori.
As a child, he is commonly seen wearing various clothing.
Timeskip[]
After the time skip, Souta is now a tall, slender teenage boy who resembles his father Kyousuke Hori. His initial appearance in the time skip showed him wearing a white shirt, a blazer and dark pants with a necktie given by Izumi Miyamura, whom he fondly calls “big brother”.
He was also seen wearing another high school uniform, composed of a sweater layering his white shirt and dark pants.
Personality[]
Souta is an obedient child who has a close relationship with his older sister Kyouko Hori and he is also very fond of Izumi Miyamura, whom he respects like an older brother. When he first meets Izumi, Izumi describes him as "levelheaded" because he can remember his address. As a child, he can be straightforward and is not embarrassed to mention topics that Hori can't mention. He expresses happiness when he sees Hori and Miyamura wearing rings, thinking they are getting married. He is also surprisingly perceptive, noticing that Hori and Miyamura have feelings for each other before they do, which prompts him to stay outside after school so the two can have more alone time with each other. Unfortunately, Hori and Miyamura mistake this as Souta enters his rebellious stage early.
Yuuna Okuyama calls him a crybaby, as he tends to cry easily over little things. He is very interested in anime, such as Hurricane Star, and is frequently watching anime or singing songs when Miyamura visits. Because of this, Hori also unknowingly memorizes many of the song lyrics, which she finds embarrassing.
Plot[]
At the start of the series, Souta first meets Izumi Miyamura after he trips upon being startled by a dog. From there, Miyamura brings him back to his house, where the former officially meets his classmate, Kyouko Hori.

- Kyouko Hori uses Souta as an excuse to invite Izumi Miyamura over a second time.
