Synopsis

Yuuna Okuyama (奥山 有菜 Okuyama Yūna?) is a kindergarten classmate of Souta Hori in the same grade and class as him where she used to bully him for having a sister complex, but the two become friends after Izumi Miyamura shows her some kindness.

Appearance[]

As a child, Yuuna is a young girl with chin-length red hair, lilac-colored eyes and she is seen wearing a flower hair clip on the left side of her hair, the hair clip being given by Izumi Miyamura.

In her first appearance, she is seen to wear an orange sweater over a white button up shirt and a skirt.

Teenage[]

In the time skip, Yuuna grows into a teenage girl who stands at average height, whereas her hair extends to mid-back length, and that she clips her bangs while the rest is either tied up or clipped back. She also allows some chin-length hair strands hanging freely on either side of her face.

Personality[]

As opposed to Souta Hori, Yuuna is considered very mature for her age.

In contrast with Souta's carefree and trusting nature, she is much more cynical and cautious where she often scolds Souta and their classmates for their childish behavior, but mostly because she is self-conscious of her forehead, which she thinks is too large. However this feeling about herself changed after Izumi Miyamura told her that she looked pretty.

Etymology[]

  • The name Yuuna means "exist" (有) (yuu) and "vegetables, greens" (菜) (na).
  • Yuuna's surname Okuyama means "remote mountain, mountain recesses" (奥山).
    • It can also mean "back, inner part, heart, interior" (奥) (oku) and "mountain, hill" (山) (yama) separately.

Trivia[]

  • Yuuna's forehead is large that it upsets her and she continues to have this insecurity even as a teenager.
